HOW IT WORKS

The patented closed system cleaner formula is converted from a powder to a pellet form and enclosed in the cooling system cleaner/filter by the Enviro-CoolTM manufacturing process. The Enviro-CoolTM Cleaner/Filter is a spin-on filter that is installed in place of the inhibitor filter which allows the pelletized cleaner to dissolve and enter the coolant slowly enough as to form a generally homogeneous mixture of cleaning agent throughout the entire volume of coolant in the system. Therefore, localized damage to the system is prevented, while permitting sufficient cleaning agent to be added for effective cleaning. The Enviro-CoolTM Cleaner/Filter is a clean-as-you-drive system that does not require draining or flushing. Contaminants not held in suspension are trapped in the 10 micron filter.

Standard inhibitors do not remove corrosion or gel that has already formed in the system leading to heat build-up and engine damage.

Simply replace the inhibitor filter with the clean-as-
you-drive Enviro-CoolTM Cleaner/Filter and place
the vehicle back in service.

Enviro-Cool'sTM pelletized cleaning agents dissolve
slowly into the coolant and
rid the system of corrosives,
scale and gel which are removed by the Cleaner/ Filter.

      HOW TO USE IT

Standard inhibitor filters do not remove corrosion or gel that has already formed in the cooling system and can lead to heat build-up and engine damage.

First use the provided test strip to ensure that the pH level of your coolant is within the manufacturer-recommended range. Then simply replace your standard inhibitor filter with the Enviro-CoolTM Cleaner/Filter and place the vehicle back in service.

The Enviro-CoolTM Cleaner/Filter does not require draining or flushing. The Enviro-CoolTM Cleaner/Filter has cleaning agents that dissolve slowly into the coolant and rid the system of corrosives, scale and gel. Contaminants not held in suspension are trapped in the 10 micron filter.

Run the vehicle for 30 days or 10,000 miles, discard the Enviro-CoolTM Cleaner/Filter and then replace with a standard inhibitor filter. The Enviro-CoolTM Cleaner/Filter should be used on an annual basis at a minimum.

Phil Wallace, general superintendent bus maintenance for Washington Metro Area Transit Authority, uses the Enviro-CoolTM Cleaner/Filter. WMATA operates 1,444 transit buses in a 1,500 sq. mi. area in the District of Columbia and surrounding parts of Maryland and Virginia. He says, "I became very interested in the Enviro-CoolTM product while trying to prepare for these new emissions regulations. With clean diesel or any other method that will be used to meet these new regs, increased heat will be a problem, and the cooling system will have to dissipate that heat. I had been using a different cooling system treatment but it was troublesome and required periodic monitoring and a cleanout. We are using a long life coolant and will leave the filter in place. No matter what, a cooling system must remain clean as a whistle to do the job."

Gordon Wekwert is in charge of maintenance at P.N.T. Enterprise, a logging contractor for major loggers in the Slocan Valley region, in British Columbia. His "yarders" have Detroit Diesel engines. He says, "Upon arriving on this job, one of my biggest problems was the cooling systems that I found had been neglected for some time. Our yarders started overheating and we found it was due to sludge and rust build-up. I really didn't want the vehicle to be out of service to pull the huge radiator, and re-core it for about $3,000, so I searched for an alternative. The tubes were clogged so I decided to use a new product I had just heard about called the Enviro-CoolTM Cleaner Cartridge. We installed it, and a month later an inspection showed that there now was no clogging. It was easy to determine why, the cleaner/filter was full of 'bad stuff', like pond scum". Now he uses an Enviro-CoolTM Cleaner/Filter for about a month, removes it and puts on a conventional coolant system filter.

Tony Aforismo has been involved with heavy vehicle maintenance for about 35 years, 23 of them with his current employer, Connecticut Transit in Hartford. He says, "Using the Enviro-CoolTM Cleaner/Filter in a cooling system will keep it from collecting corrosion and generally keep it in good shape." According to Aforismo, he used a competitive treatment for cooling systems until about three years ago when pH levels were up, and then he switched to the Enviro-CoolTM Cleaner/Filter. "Our buses operate about 25,000 miles a year and we change the oil every 6,000 miles. I install the cleaner cartridge at our annual C inspections and they run about six months."

Bob Weiler is manager of fleet maintenance, responsible for 304 road tractors in the Batesville Logistics fleet. He uses a conventional coolant treatment, but installs an Enviro-CoolTM Cleaner/Filter once a year; this opens up the tubes and cleans up the entire system. His fleet is scheduled for a million mile trade cycle, but tractors were experiencing overheating around 600,000 miles, so he tried the cleaner filter. It stopped the overheating; he tried a half dozen or more and now plans to use them fleet wide.
